Dhruva J Bordoloi while shooting for a documentary.
Meet Dhruva J Bordoloi, the creative force behind the lens, born into a middle-class family in Tezpur, Assam. From a shy child with a vivid imagination to a filmmaker with a passion for storytelling, his journey is a testament to the power of dreams.
Spellbound by Titanic, his interest in films soared. Guided by a supportive father, he enrolled for a graduate degree in Mass Communication along with a diploma in Multimedia and Animation in Kolkata, followed by a move to Mumbai in 2007. College years were filled with short films, documentaries, and the joy of crafting assignments in 3D Animation and VFX.
Mumbai brought challenges, but he embraced them, freelancing as an editor and learning the ropes of the industry. In 2014, he founded his Production House - PIXELRAY FILMS. With almost no resources but a heart full of determination, he took a leap of faith, creating his first feature film, "Dooronir Nirola Poja,". The film's journey wasn't easy, but with a resilient spirit, he saw it hit theaters in 2017, affirming that "films are made on the editing table." This success opened doors for him to direct his second feature film, "Kokaideu Bindaas," premiering in theaters of Assam in 2019.
Never one to rest, he delved into the digital realm with the web series "TROJAN," a gripping crime drama centered on a cyber-attack in Assam, now streaming on ReelDrama OTT.
For him, making films isn't just a profession; it's a precious journey of self-discovery. Each project, from the early struggles and challenges to the triumphant releases, reflects his unwavering commitment to the craft.
